Founded by Mark Cunningham in 2016, Cunningham Executive Search (CES) has been a new entrant to the Brussels recruiting & Executive Search market. After spending over 26 years in Professional Service Firms, Mark felt from personal experience and from talking to other professionals, that the Brussels market, and other markets dealing with Public Affairs opportunities, could be served better. Mark believed his many years in consultancy, working for a number of trade associations, in-house clients and government across a spectrum of industries gave him a good grounding into what type of person would be suitable for each role.
CES offers a fresh approach to dealing with recruitment needs in the Brussels market for EU professionals and for COO/CFOs in Brussels, London, Dublin and throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Process
We conduct interviews and assess candidates, so we only present the most qualified options to our clients. We would do this in a tailored manner, in continued communication with the client and because of the sensitive nature of the conversations, the search ensures confidentiality.
Discussion of role to understand what is necessary for someone to succeed in the role (responsibilities, goals, requirements, organization’s culture, reporting, HR involvement)
Profile description (work that needs to be done and the skills, competencies and mindset required to do that work)
List of potential hires in database and social networks to develop a list of prospects, including reaching out to professional associations and other groups for referrals.
Contact prospects to assess whether they are qualified, match the profile, are interested and would be willing to leave their current role
Meeting top candidates in an in-depth interview (preferably in person but can do also online) to assess potential fit
Present the top candidates to the client (background and assessment of their strengths and weaknesses against the Profile. The team will also share details to help the client close the deal, such as salary requirements and motivators). We only present the most qualified options to our clients
Set-up client interviews (to narrow the list to two
or three finalists)
Extend the offer, close the search and eventually, assist with onboarding and transitioning.
